I made some goals for this year
Some things I am going to hold myself accountable to this year that I didn’t do last year. Note: this doesn’t mean these are my only goals for 2012. This means that these are goals that I am not currently doing or doing very well.
- Actually keep my photos organized and sorted both in iPhoto and Flickr.
- Weight myself every single day and record it.
- Take a shirtless photo once a week to track progress.
- Actually create your website.
- Start writing (and publishing) three times a week.
- Pay closer attention to hockey.
- Stop pirating things.
- Be ruthless in your task management and get better at GTD.
- Read at least one book a month (yes, this number is low for many – but I currently am not meeting even this requirement).
- Listen to more podcasts and read more US, world, and political news.
- Stop worrying about being on top of the latest culture. If it’s good enough it will find you.
- Forgive yourself.
- Don’t compare yourself to others, only to what you know you should be.
- Attend at least one web dev conference.
- Get your finances in a position to help someone else out financially.
- Compartmentalize better.
- Actually start your podcast. Even if no one listens, at least try.
- Tell your wife what a babe she is every day.
- EDIT: Also, climb a ridiculous amount.

Dear Ms. Koch,
On behalf of all gays and lesbians living in Minnesota, I would like to wholeheartedly apologize for our community’s successful efforts to threaten your traditional marriage. We are ashamed of ourselves for causing you to have what the media refers to as an “illicit affair” with your staffer, and we also extend our deepest apologies to him and to his wife. These recent events have made it quite clear that our gay and lesbian tactics have gone too far, affecting even the most respectful of our society.
